ABOUT USING INSURANCE
Insurance normally excludes Sex Therapy and only covers couples counseling when one partner is the focus of treatment because of a mental health diagnosis.   

There are pros and cons to using insurance for counseling services.  A disadvantage, is that counselors must submit a mental health diagnosis to the insurance company, which reduces your privacy.  The diagnosis may impact your ability to receive coverage in the future, limit the number of visits your coverage provides, and the type of counseling you receive.  The diagnosis may reduce your ability to obtain life insurance or certain high security jobs.  

The main advantage is that insurance reduces the amount of out-of-pocket expense you have to pay.  I encourage you to do your own research to decide your best option.
