Low Sexual Desire

Picture
Are you a woman concerned about low sexual desire? According to a 2008 study published in Obstetrics and Gynecology magazine, you are not alone. The study involved 31,000 U.S. females 18 years and older. 43% of them reported having sexual concerns. 10% out of the 43% complained of low sexual desire.

It's difficult to know what causes sexual desire to decrease. The following issues have been known to effect sexual desire:
- Trauma
- Depression and/or Anxiety
- Life Stressors
- Relationship Issues
- Aging
- Menopause
- Medication
- Postpartum Stress

If you or your partner are concerned about low sexual desire in your relationship, talking to an OB/GYN is always recommended. As an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, I work with individuals and couples who experience low desire.  Give me a call or register as a new client and make an appointment.  I would love to help!
